2015 Quilts

These are the quilts I finished in 2015.

After years of attending the Dear Jane retreats and saying I would never make a Dear Jane quilt, I did! I love my blue & white version. The only change I would make is to have the outside border be blue instead of white. Hand-quilted by me.

91" X 91"

Applique Sampler, appliqued and pieced by me soon after I learned to applique. Long-arm quilted by Three Sisters Quilting, New Paris, Indiana.
Gifted to our daughter as a wedding quilt.

I participated in the 2014 Country Threads BOM quilt. Pieced by me, long-arm quilted by Three Sisters Quilting, New Paris, Ind.

I named her Autumn Sampler. 85" X 90"
Pieced Basket Quilt, 52" x 72"

In 2014 I participated in the Buck A Block BOM at Caroline's in Rome City, Ind. The original project was actually in pink & brown fabrics. I made the blocks each month and then gifted the pink & brown quilt away. Each month I also made 2 blocks from my own civil war fabrics, 1 in blue and 1 in brown. Longarm quilted by the Three Sisters, New Paris, Inc.

Red Radiance 46" x 46"

I brought many quilting magazines home from my mom's house after she died. Some of them she had projects marked, this was one of them.

I started embroidering Red Radiance in January, 2015 and completed hand quilting her in June, 2015. You can read about my Red Radiance journey if you want more details.
